Top chef numbers look pretty low.

Has this series ever had the sane airing dates? It seems to air, whenever. Spring, sinner, fall winter.... never a consistent season run.

I do hope the DVR did catch the premier as I completely forgot about it. Should be an awesome season. Hope the ratings rise.

DVR is a big problem, IMO, for Top Chef. For whatever reason, every season is listed as something different (at least on my DVR). You can't just DVR "Top Chef" and get every season. You have to set a new recording for "Top Chef All-Stars" or "Top Chef DC." My "Top Chef Masters" setting recorded both seasons of TCM. Weird. I noticed the same thing for Biggest Loser and Amazing Race... have to set a new series recording every cycle.

The show was seriously impacted this summer when it moved to 9pm for a little while... that, coupled with a bad season and possible brand overextension/dilution and viewer fatigue from Masters hurt the ratings. And that ONLY finished airing in early/mid-September. Then it was immediately followed up by Top Chef Just Desserts.

Much as I love it, Bravo has to hold off on Top Chef until next summer now. Premiere it in early June. It's done by late August. Then have a December-February run and keep those cycles regular.
