CW Sundays No More?

Per Joseph Adalian, CW is close to giving Sundays back to the affiliates next season.

Good for them (see Next Season - CW for my proposed schedule that still has CW picking up all new dramas but Light Years, and not scheduling Sundays...)

A couple changes...
- CW will probably keep 90210 at 9pm on Tuesdays and put the new Melrose Place at 8pm on Tuesdays (after all, 90210 needs lead-in support)
- if Privileged airs on Fridays, the five drama pilots can still all be picked up, but CW will have 2 options for midseason replacements... something the network needs to have up its sleeve

Getting rid of Sundays, CW can have Gossip Girl level "success" with all of its new programs and still have massive gains in its average versus year-ago (especially if it can find some degree of success on Fridays).

I don't know if you follow Kevin Williamson on twitter, but he's 'celebrating' right now, and they had their pilot presentation for Vampire Diaries today. I think it's safe to assume that they were picked up (blah).

I really only care about The Body Politic being picked up, and I'm getting more and more worried with each passing day. I think the CW is too focused on what works with what they have right now and their demo and brand and since BP doesn't fit that as well as the others, I think they might pass (despite a script that seems to be their most favored pilot among most who have read 4 available) and a strong, recognizable cast.

CW's upfront is May 21st. Not worth getting worried or even thinking about it this far in advance. Pilot pickups likely won't happen until May 19th.
