Oh, Emo Model

Forget what I said a couple weeks ago about this season of Make Me A Supermodel. It is SUCH a guilty pleasure again. It took a little while to get over the format changes, but after a couple contestants were eliminated, personalities emerged (or the lack thereof) and the really bad models either left or started learning how to do the damn job.

There's Gabriel, aka Emo Model. He's so terribly entertaining for the wrong reasons, with his monotonous confessionals.

Then there's the Jordan/Amanda DRAMZ (also Amanda, who just gave birth to a baby boy, is in love with Gabriel).

Then there's Branden, who pissed me off in week one by being briefly a homophobe, but he's gotten over it. He's taken a couple good photos. So his personality is now "super horny 18-year old male." All he talks about is boobs and women.

There are some characters/contestants who haven't really popped yet. There's CJ, aka Female Emo Model. I don't even know what to make of her. I don't get much of a read off of Jonathan, the (extremely hot) British Model, either. Not a ton of personality form Sandhurst, too. He needs to drop his dancing background and start modeling. Laury apparently has fake breasts and "really wants it." Mountaha thinks she's edgy and punk, but I'm not convinced. And then there's Salome, who reminds me, look-wise, of Brittany from Top Model Season 8. She's bubbly and fun and performs well but isn't part of any of the crazy.

But, at the end of the day, the show is awesome this season because of Colin, aka VIRGIN MODEL. He's got a flirtationship with Kerryn, who is ALL ABOUT MAKING HIM SQUIRM. LOVES IT.

Without the "close to live" format, the storytelling has really improved. This show is so much better than Top Model this cycle.
